Abstract
▶ The study revealed a strong relationship between a magnocellular deficit and dyslexia in Chinese. ▶ Behavioural and ERP experiments were conducted with Chinese dyslexic and control children. ▶ Performance from dyslexic and two control (age and reading level matched) children were compared. ▶ The dyslexics were significantly slower to respond to the critical targets than the controls. ▶ vMMN (ERP) patterns of the dyslexics were significantly different from those of the controls.
