Abstract
⺠In two experiments, we have pairs of participants assigned to unequal power. ⺠Participant pairs interact and rate each other on traits representing humanity. ⺠Empowered participants perceived less humanity in their low-power partner. ⺠Despite the above, empowered participants did not derogate their partner.
