Abstract
⺠We propose that implicit self-esteem regulates connection after relationship-threat. ⺠Experimental and observational methodologies were used to test this idea. ⺠Implicit self-esteem predicted nonverbal connection behavior following the threat. ⺠Partner commitment moderates the effect of implicit self-esteem on connection.
