Abstract
⺠Using two target out-groups we examined the effect of EBL on face processing. ⺠Out-group faces were processed faster with angry vs. happy EBL. ⺠In-group faces were processed faster with happy vs. angry EBL. ⺠Similar results were obtained using both Asian and Black targets. ⺠The phenomenon is likely due to an out-group, not a stereotyping, effect.
