Abstract
⺠Older married adults with disability report worse evaluative and experienced subjective wellbeing than those without. ⺠Having a disability of average severity is associated with on average 71 fewer pleasant minutes per day. ⺠Differences by disability are especially sizeable for somatic feelings of pain and tiredness. ⺠Disparities in subjective wellbeing by disability are not fully accounted for by respondent, spouse, or couple characteristics or by differential activity profiles. ⺠Participation in activities may mediate in part the relationship between disability and global but not experienced wellbeing.
