Abstract
⺠Patient-centeredness is often embraced as a strategy to humanize healthcare. ⺠Hospitals invoke the concept of patient-centeredness as they implement interventions to improve patient comfort. ⺠Implementations of patient-centeredness may alter concepts of caring, notions of patienthood, and medical professionals' roles.
