Abstract
⺠Models test if poverty affects Hispanic child health in the USA differently by maternal nativity and country of origin. ⺠Results show poverty, hardship, and being uninsured reduce health status at age 5 and between ages 1 and 5. ⺠Poverty negatively impacts health more for children with immigrant than native-born Hispanic mothers.
