Abstract
⺠Examines the inconsistent mediating effects of psychosocial work characteristics on the education-health relationship. ⺠Psychosocial work resources are associated with educational-health inequalities. ⺠Psychosocial work demands suppress educational differences in health. ⺠The health suppressing effects of psychosocial work demands are strongest for highly educated women.
