Abstract
												⺠Presents a graphical overview of the development of the obesity epidemic over time. ⺠Illustrates increasing trends in obesity, severe obesity and adjusted BMI by race/ethnicity, education and income. ⺠Shows that increases in obesity, severe obesity and adjusted BMI are similar across different social groups. ⺠Has implications for the understanding of the causes of the obesity epidemic and for interventions with potential to cure it.
