Abstract
⺠A psychosocial support group for HIV-affected families demonstrated feasibility and a high retention rate in central Haiti. ⺠Findings reveal high rates of psychological symptoms at baseline in youth and their caregivers in this at-risk population. ⺠Post-intervention HIV-affected youth experienced decreased psychological symptoms and improved psychosocial functioning. ⺠Post-intervention HIV-affected caregivers demonstrated reduction in depressive symptoms and HIV-related stigma. ⺠Qualitative findings demonstrated an improvement in coping and hope for the future among the youth and their caregivers.
