Abstract
⺠To understand gendered aspects of health and disease study developmental dynamics. ⺠To study gender as an emergent property, we apply the concept of soft assembly. ⺠Physical, perceptual, cognitive and emotional experience shape the body. ⺠In part male and female bodies differ to the extent that infants differ in experience. ⺠Individual variability can serve as the substrate for the emergence of group differences.
