Abstract
⺠Our study examines if school racial composition affects adolescent depressive and somatic symptoms. ⺠Black students experienced more depressive and somatic symptoms as the percent of white students at school increased. ⺠Perceived discrimination and school attachment attenuated this association. ⺠predominantly-minority schools may lower Black students' depressive and somatic symptoms through greater school attachment.
