Abstract
⺠I investigate the link between workplace gender diversity and employee job-related well-being. ⺠I find gender diversity to be negatively related to employee job-related well-being. ⺠The negative association is specific to women employees only. ⺠The finding is in line with predictions of group competition theory. ⺠Workplace gender equality policies and practices do not ameliorate the negative finding.
