Abstract
⺠Explore gender gaps across the log wage distributions of British full-time employees in 2005. ⺠Raw gender wage gap tends to increase across the distribution (some glass ceiling effect). ⺠Relationship between white-collar occupations, managerial duties and glass ceiling in data. ⺠Find strong positive selection into full-time employment by British women. ⺠Selection corrected gap (twice raw gap) related to lower rewards to women for their characteristics.
