Abstract
⺠We use the model with single continuous parameter to describe polyatomic gases. ⺠Maximum entropy principle is used to derive non-equilibrium velocity distribution. ⺠Velocity distribution contains dynamic pressure and generalizes Grad's one. ⺠Field equations for 14 moments of distribution function are derived. ⺠Entropy-entropy flux pair represents the proper generalization of monatomic case.
