Abstract
⺠Lateral discomfort is involved in the two-lane visual angle car following model. ⺠Two visual angles and their rates of change are the stimulus the drivers perceive. ⺠The influence of four important factors on the stability of traffic flow is studied. ⺠Complex driving behaviors break the original stability and cause traffic fluctuation.
