Abstract
⺠We model the dynamics of groups in general from animals to abstract geopolitical groups. ⺠We assume that constituents fear being in isolation and that asymmetric transfer of power occurs between them. ⺠We point out the universality of dynamic behavior observed in various types of group. ⺠Simulation indicates that a hierarchical structure in a group is necessary for its survival.
