Dynamic social networks facilitate cooperation in the N-player Prisoner's Dilemma

► We investigate the evolution of cooperation in the N-player Prisoner's Dilemma game. ► Trust and reputation mechanisms are introduced based on dynamic social networks. ► The proposed mechanisms are used for partner selection and decision making. ► Using reputation for partner selection is more effective than for decision making. ► The most significant results are achieved when reputation is used for both.
