Abstract
⺠An extended evacuation field model with a communication field is presented. ⺠We simulate a crowd emergency evacuation process under the control of evacuation assistants. ⺠Locating evacuation assistants near exits reduces the time delay for pre-evacuation. ⺠Having excessive numbers of evacuation assistants does not improve evacuation efficiency.
