Abstract
⺠We examine the scaling behavior of hand motions during card sorting. ⺠Participants were either given a rule to follow or had to induce the rule. ⺠We compute the Hurst exponent for the motion time series with a windowing strategy. ⺠The induction condition showed a rise-and-fall pattern in their Hurst exponents. ⺠Results suggest that rule induction arises from interaction-dominant dynamics.
