Abstract
⺠We infer the intrinsic forces of 'black-box' complex systems from their observable output statistics. ⺠The inference is based on a top-down entropy approach, and on a bottom-up Langevin approach. ⺠Our method is applied to the distribution of wealth in human societies. ⺠Econophysical visualization of Adam Smith's invisible hand is established. ⺠Econophysical explanation of the rich-get-richer and poor-get-poorer phenomena is obtained.
