Abstract
⺠We investigated the flow of polymer solutions in co-rotating Taylor-Couette flow. ⺠The cylinder rotations are chosen to generate a flow that is free of vorticity. ⺠We find that the stresses are identical to those in plane shear flow. ⺠For shear thinning solutions the angular velocity becomes non-monotonic.
