Abstract
⺠Modeling of contaminant dispersion is carried out using the method of volume averaging. ⺠The longitudinal and transverse components of the total dispersion tensor are predicted using representative unit cells. ⺠Transverse dispersion is highly sensitive to the distribution of local streets and avenues. ⺠Longitudinal dispersion predictions are well represented with simple unit cell models.
