Abstract
⺠A durable goods market can grow through a spreading and an adaptation process. ⺠They correspond to Bass/Gompertz diffusion, the latter is an evolutionary process. ⺠A price-dependent product fitness determines the sales via replicator dynamics. ⺠The fitness increase (price decrease) in time leads to a Gompertz diffusion. ⺠Also size-, price-, growth-rate distributions are derived for durable goods.
