Abstract
⺠We improve the FVD model and present a visual angle car-following model. ⺠Human drivers' characteristics are considered in this model. ⺠Linear analysis shows the asymmetry and effects of the width of leading vehicles. ⺠Numerical simulations obtain the density wave, asymmetry and wide scattering. ⺠Visual angle information can explain some complex nature of traffic flow.
