Abstract
⺠We calculate the Hurst and DEA exponents for the California seismic catalog. ⺠We analyze the inter-event times, rate of events and distances between earthquakes. ⺠We analyze the whole catalog, the declustered catalog and the main clusters. ⺠We do not find fBm or Lévy statistics for the analyzed series. ⺠Seismicity cannot be described by a simple statistical model, but has a wide variety of behaviours.
