Abstract
⺠We propose a simple new modification to the standard preferential attachment mechanism. ⺠New links are created by altruistic attachment mechanism. ⺠Avoid systematic disassortative bias of BA networks while maintaining the same degree distribution. ⺠We find that such altruistic networks are structural more robust.
