Abstract
⺠We show that the existence of high heights and deep valleys significantly increases the degree of the surface hydrophilicity. ⺠We have applied a level crossing analysis on images obtained by AFM. ⺠We show that the average frequency of visiting any level obeys a power law for heights far from the mean value.
