Abstract
⺠We adapt a non-twist map with a robust torus for a plasma confinement model. ⺠The robust torus is a transport barrier in the phase space for the confined plasma. ⺠The robust torus regularizes the dynamics in its neighborhood. ⺠The map mimics an internal transport barrier. ⺠The map introduces a new transport barrier.
