Abstract
⺠We studied the multiple-vehicle collision process induced by a sudden slowdown. ⺠We derived the region map (phase diagram) for the multiple-vehicle collision in traffic flow. ⺠We clarified the dependence of the multiple-vehicle collision on the vehicular characteristics.
