Abstract
► Stochastic resonance (SR) induced by bounded noise in an asymmetric bistable system is investigated. ► The existence of a maximum in the signal power amplification as a function of noise intensity is the identifying characteristic of the SR phenomenon. ► The SR phenomenon is weakened by the increasing asymmetry parameter. ► Increasing the frequency restricts the SR of the system. ► There is an optimum value of amplitude matching the strongest SR phenomenon.
