Abstract
⺠Stochastic resonance (SR) induced by bounded noise in an asymmetric bistable system is investigated. ⺠The existence of a maximum in the signal power amplification as a function of noise intensity is the identifying characteristic of the SR phenomenon. ⺠The SR phenomenon is weakened by the increasing asymmetry parameter. ⺠Increasing the frequency restricts the SR of the system. ⺠There is an optimum value of amplitude matching the strongest SR phenomenon.
