Abstract
⺠Inverse stochastic resonance is a recently discovered phenomenon. ⺠It involves inhibition of repetitive spiking in neurons. ⺠The mechanisms have not been understood. ⺠Long term simulations of duration 500,000 ms are performed. ⺠We explore the statistical properties of the random variables involved and a general scheme is given.
