Abstract
⺠We study the evolution of cooperation on an adaptive network. ⺠Network inhomogeneity is found to be detrimental to cooperation. ⺠A large difference in degree leads to extreme instability of cooperator clusters. ⺠The agent with a higher degree becomes the inhibitor of cooperation.
