Abstract
⺠We model the dynamics of evolution of species embedded in an active medium. ⺠Clusters larger than a critical mass survive to compete with others. ⺠A realistic complex network topology with local; non-local neighbours is considered. ⺠Selective networking is required for smart survival strategies. ⺠Universality in some probability distributions of the survivors highlight this.
