Abstract
⺠We develop a kinetic theory of systems with long-range interactions. ⺠We take into account spatial inhomogeneity (by using angle-action variables) and collective effects. ⺠We determine the scaling with N of the relaxation time toward statistical equilibrium. We also consider the relaxation of a test particle in a bath.
