Abstract
⺠Nonlinear diffusion-reaction equations are used to model the caries process. ⺠The system consists of one static and one mobile substance. ⺠These substances, initially separated, react chemically. ⺠Changes in the concentrations are calculated approximately using the perturbation method. ⺠We show that the experimental data are well described by the analytical solutions.
