Abstract
Fluorescence depolarization under dipolar quasiresonant energy transfer allows to monitor the presence of the excitation on the originally excited chromophore. However, parallel to the radiative energy decay, there is also the possibility of loss due to energy trapping. Here we focus on the situation when the transfer occurs over a fractal hyperbranched macromolecule, whose center is a trap. Remarkably, the eigenvalues needed for the determination of the decay can be obtained through an iterative procedure, a fact which allows to study very large systems.
