Abstract
⺠Renewable energy subsidies without carbon pricing are an expensive mitigation policy. ⺠Permanently mal-adjusted renewable energy subsidies can provoke a green paradox. ⺠Temporary renewable energy subsidies delay cost increase in energy prices. ⺠Using revenues from carbon pricing for renewable subsidies lowers energy prices.
