Abstract
⺠We tested the claim that corporate kin-groups were common at Ãatalhöyük in the PPNB. ⺠Corporate kin-groups were maintained by “history houses” according to the hypothesis. ⺠The hypothesis predicts that house-wall continuity and burials should co-vary. ⺠Factor analysis indicated that the two variables do not co-vary. ⺠Claims regarding corporate kin-groups at PPNB Ãatalhöyük should be curtailed.
