Abstract
⺠Assessment of geoarchaeological methods for the identification of activity areas. ⺠Case study analysed floor deposits in a Viking Age house in Reykjavik, Iceland. ⺠Integrated pH, EC, magnetic susceptibility, LOI, ICP-AES and soil micromorphology. ⺠Multiple datasets allowed an assessment of factors affecting element distributions. ⺠Soil micromorphology had the greatest interpretive power when used on its own.
