Abstract
⺠We analyzed 402 samples of UGB quartzite using LA-ICP-MS to discriminate sources. ⺠We ultimately aim to match quartzite tools and debitage to their geologic sources. ⺠The study assemblage represents the compositional variability in UGB quartzite. ⺠Results show spatial and geochronological trends in quartzite elemental composition. ⺠A new protocol must be followed to source human-modified quartzite, versus obsidian.
