Abstract
⺠Subterranean sand grain transport by ants can cause errors in age estimation using luminescence dating. ⺠Upward grain movement dominates subterranean grain transport leading to age overestimation as the major expected affect. ⺠Grain transport without light exposure is dominant in the upper 30 cm of an ant nest.
