Abstract
⺠We performed stable isotope analysis and CL study on Late Neolithic Spondylus ornaments, recent and fossil Spondylus shells. ⺠Late Neolithic Spondylus objects from Hungary (Aszód site) have Mediterranean (Aegean or Adriatic) origin. ⺠Based on the mineralogy the studied Spondylus objects were made of recent shells. ⺠Calcitic parts observed in some objects are not related to fossilisation.
