Abstract
► Evidence of Micropogonias furnieri explotation during mid-late Holocene is presented. ► The archaeological sample consists of 1134 white croaker sagitta otoliths. ► By 3000 BP record shows that otolith frequency decreases while fish size increases. ► We conclude that M. furnieri distribution was 150 km further south in the past. ► This pattern may be linked to biogeographic changes of other species in SW Atlantic.
