Abstract
⺠We identified more than 50 sandstone quarries in the Angkor period. ⺠The quarry sites are distributed around a bank 2.4 km long at the southeastern foot of Mt. Kulen. ⺠A route of interconnected canals and rivers was identified that links quarry sites for the Angkor monuments to the Angkor area. ⺠A field investigation suggests that the canal was used for the transportation of sandstone blocks.
