⺠Surveys historical mosque orientations towards a sacred direction based on folk astronomy and mathematical astronomy. âºÂ Investigates the use of a magnetic compass in mosque orientation. ⺠the mosque orientations dated between 1280-1500 towards the star Antares or the south direction by a compass.
