Abstract
⺠Refined methods simultaneously observed smoking and measured particulate levels. ⺠Smoking on city streets significantly raises fine particulate levels. ⺠Street smoking air pollution levels were higher than from road traffic. ⺠Urban policy could protect pedestrians confined to pavements from smoking.
