Abstract
⺠This is the first comprehensive census survey since 1987 of Ireland's nomadic Travellers. ⺠It employed a highly novel oral-visual electronic questionnaire to overcome literacy challenges. ⺠Self-rated health is negatively associated with social indicators, including discrimination. ⺠The final model shows both material and psycho-social indictors predict self-rated health. ⺠The study is relevant to other International studies of hard-to-reach ethnic minorities.
