Abstract
⺠High hopelessness clusters at the neighborhood cluster level in Chicago. ⺠Socioeconomic and opportunity characteristics and the physical environment are associated with feelings of hopelessness. ⺠Social conditions (reciprocal exchange, social cohesion) are not associated with feelings of hopelessness.
