Abstract
⺠Explores the role of “enabling places” in promoting recovery among 24 adults living with a mental illness in Melbourne. ⺠The enabling places identified by participants facilitated access to varied social, material and affective resources. ⺠These 'enabling resources' support activities, practices and relationships central to participants' experience of recovery. ⺠Novel peer support efforts may help individuals in recovery access a wider array of high quality enabling places.
